There is No Summertime Sadness with Wintertime Sangria

Not everyone is a sommelier, but that’s okay! That is where sangria comes into play. The perfect pairing for any food or occasion, sangria can also easily pair perfectly with any season. Spring time is the perfect fruit season, as peaches and berries are incredibly ripe and ready to be eaten fresh or mixed into a sparkling sangria. For the Summer, it is easy to pour your favorite sangria over ice and add fresh summer fruits. For the fall, sangria goes great with oranges, apples, and pomegranates.

Sparkling winter-time sangrias allow for a bit more creativity. Whether it is hot or iced, red or white, spicy or fruity, sugar or nutmeg, the options and combinations will have you drinking sangria every weekend of winter. Our favorite combination includes cranberries, oranges, cinnamon, and pomegranate. For a festive touch, add a sugar and cinnamon rim around the glasses, and garnish with rosemary! The cranberries will be delicious after they absorb the sangria and leave a tasty treat after the winter sangria is finished!
